Celica is one of the main characters in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. While in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, she can use both sword and magic. However, Fire Emblem restricts her to using only a tome as her job class prefers her to as such. She departs from the Temple of Mila to look for the missing goddess in hopes of also reuniting with her childhood friend, Alm.

Stats

Celica is similar to Katarina except she has more base attacking power. She also has a high RES, making her possibly tanky. She can deal heavy damage against Tomes such as Nino and Sonya or heavy armors like Hector and Effie. However, she is quite susceptible against physical attackers especially those under the Blue/Lance category.

Strategy

Celica is similar to Katarina, a high powered red tome cannon. Unlike Katarina however, Celica boasts higher stats in terms of attacking. At max level, Celica is capable of dealing 40+ damage per hit which works well against Sonya. However, she is relatively soft as her weapon does not multiply her stats over all unlike Katarina’s. The only thing that keeps her alive is her Distant Def ability which works only against Archers, Daggers, Tome and, Wand Users. This makes her susceptible to physical attackers especially those who are Pegasus Knights such as Subaki and Cordelia. Shanna can also outstrip her in terms of speed.

But Celica’s Distant Def counters Kagero’s Poison Dagger and Poison Dagger +. Even if Kagero has increased damage against infantry, Celica can soften the damage and counter attack against Kagero. Her weapon can deal more damage if she’s at full HP which utilizes Ragnarok’s special ability.

One character to partner her up with is Azama as he is a tanky healer. He can sustain heavy damage and at the same time heal if using the Live to Serve build. She can also pair up with Hector who can sustain heavy physical damage from enemies but suffer against Tome users.

 

Counter

• Berkut – Berkut is a Cavalry unit with heightened DEF and RES. His inherent large mobility makes it easy for him to chase Celica. At the same time, he has an inherently large RES, allowing him to easily take her down.
• Subaki – Subaki has a high RES and his flier type allows him to catch her easy.
• Shanna – Despite her soft DEF and RES, she can still sustain damage from magic. At the same time, the inherent blue affinity against red will decrease the damage even further. Shanna has a higher chance of inflicting damage due to her increased speed, rendering Celica’s Ragnarok possibly useless.
