A patriotic archer from the Kingdom of Archanaea. Jeorge soon defies the Kingdom when Hardin occupied the seat. His decision to bring back the traditional rule to banish Hardin’s corruption has made him one of Marth’s allies. He first appears in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, and later becomes a fearsome marksman in Fire Emblem: Heroes.

In comparison to other Bow-Type Ranged characters, his stats are slightly higher than Virion‘s with the exception of a lower Def stat which might pose a bit of a problem against dagger users. Since he excels by sniping enemies 2 cells away, which works for diagonal tactics too, it can lessen the amount of damage or fell some opponents before they get a chance to strike at frontline tanks and the frail ones at the back.

He falls a few points short from Takumi who is one of the most reliable Ranged units however. Thus, he serves the role of a team-player better with a combination of support and long-range attacks, than an all-out solo Ranged unit that can hold his own in battle, as the case of Takumi.

Strategy

Jeorge pairs well with heroes weak to flying units since as a Ranged, he serves as a useful counter against them. Among his Skills is Rising Flame, which at the expense of a 5-minute cooldown, still dominates as a force to be reckoned with. This often seals the deal against foes who are unfortunate to receive the additional AoE damage when they least expect it.

Apart from offense, he has a variety of support Skills that patch up the frail defenses of some allies in addition to his own. For instance, his Parthia grants +4 Res which gives some safety against connecting hits from Tome users. In addition, his Seal Atk Skills which at maximum can reach up to Atk-7 a foe’s damage tremendously. In conjunction with Spur Spd, this not only sets up for his teammates to prey on the target after, but also buffs them up to possibly land a follow-up attack against a persistent enemy.

Overall, Jeorge is a trusty ally that can function well in sweeping the remaining foes left on the battlefield.

Place him near a character such as Olivia to obtain some buff in Atk to maximize his Ranged potential. He finds his niche in teams with a number of tanks who have great Def which provide a great deal of cover for him to continue sniping at the back (2 cells away from target). For maps with obstacles, he gets free hits on some enemy units that cannot hit back due to some unbreakable walls or through diagonal sniping.

Counters

  • CeciliaCecilia can deal extra damage to Jeorge due to her Gronnraven+.
  • Ryoma – Ryoma’s Raijinto can counter at any distance.
  • Hector – Hector has Distant Counter which can counter Jeorge’s incoming attacks. Also, his heightened defense can soften the incoming damage.
  • Ike – Similar to Ryoma and Hector, he can deal damage using Ragnell at any distance if attacked.
