Personality:

While easy to dismiss as a dark and serious man with a troubled past due to his status as a Reaper, Eizen is in reality a caring individual, especially to those of his kind. His grim appearance only hides a compassionate and selfless Malak-Seirei who fights to protect those around him, especially his sister Edna.

History:

Eizen meets Velvet and her party during his quest to find his master, the pirate captain Van Airfread. Realizing that he and Velvet share a common enemy in The Abbey, Eizen agrees to fight alongside her with his abilities as a fearsome Reaper who can use Malak Artes in combat. Eventualy, Eizen realizes that his “curse” is endangering those dear to him, such as his sister Enda. And so he sets off on a journey with Velvet to oppose The Abbey and the Exorcists themselves.

Fighting Style:

He wields a bracelet as a weapon and is valuable as one of the party’s melee attacker. Eizen doubles as a support as well since he’s able to heal and buff allies when the need arises.

He is a well-rounded character with access to both short and long range Artes. Able to learn Holy Servant Artes from a distance, he balances this by also being able to shift to dealing damage at a close range.

 Stats:

Primarily a melee fighter, Eizen fills the pugilist role in the party with an arsenal of fist techniques, in addition to using Earth-based Malak Artes.

Eizen’s Soul Break is Dragonic Drive, allowing him to tap into his Reaper nature that grants him the ability to fly and use perform a powerful Special Arte. The drawback is that he can only use this when enemies are stunned. His Switch Blast is Road to Survival, while his Mystic Arte is called Perfect Mayhem.

Techniques:

Technique Name Description
Dragonic Drive Soul Break Ability; this temporarily bestows Eizen the power of flight in order to launch a powerful Arte.
Road of Survival Switch Blast Ability
Perfect Mayhem Mystic Arte
“Ditch” A low Soul Gauge (SG) Base Arte that shakes the surroundings which inflict the stun ailment to a swarm of enemies. In addition, it may knock down enemies to the ground.
“Quickness” One of Eizen’s Holy Servant Artes, this is a helpful Arte that not only replenishes HP lost by allies but also increases their movement speed. This also removes “Slow” for one ally.
“Hell Gate” Another Holy Servant Arte that has takes effect even at a long range. Since it requires a huge amount of Soul Gauge (SG) in return, it is better to save it for the last slot in the combo chain while using low cost Artes to build up the combo.

How to set up Combo Chains

■ Combining Base Artes with Holy Servant Artes

When performing a combo chain, it is recommended to combine them using the available Soul Gauge (SG).

■ Set Holy Servant Artes with large consumption in the 4th row

If you set the Holy Servant Artes at the fourth slot of the chain, it enables Eizen to consume fewer SG.

Recommended Sample Combo Chains

“Fate”“Crime”“Ditch”“Coercive”

A Sample Combo that requires minimal SG to be used. This makes for a good staple combo. Since the additional effects consist of mostly Stunning ailments, it allows Eizen to collect Souls more efficiently.

“Quickness” or Resurrection“Split Step”“Fate”“Ditch”

You may choose to either go with buff or reviving a fallen party member to initiate the combo chain, thus it is suggested to start it off by keeping distance from enemies.

Follow it up with “Split Step” to double as an attacker, use Soul Break to extend the chain then finish with Ditch to stun them.

“Mirage”“Scraper”“Coercive”“Air Thrust”

Eizen can punish enemies by inflicting them with a Burn ailment. In addition, this combo chain alternately strikes the enemy between land and air which opens for them for follow up Artes.
