Strategy
As the games “true” superboss, Estark will give your party the toughest fight in the entire game. He attacks twice, so he can make quick work of your party if you are not prepared. Be sure to have Omniheal and lots of healing items to have better chances of surviving.
Since Impale does Bang damage and Hell Tornado does Wind damage, it’s wise to have equipment that reduces most types of elements. The Goddess Shield is especially useful for this fight, though only Jessica, Angelo and Red can equip them. You’ll need a Thanatos Shield and Saint’s Ashes to make it, though, with the former requiring you to reach the Dragovian Path where it can be obtained. Yangus can use a Metal King Shield.
Using Snooze against Estark is advisable since he is not immune to sleep. This gives you some time to recover from damage he has done or to heal up.
Always take advantage of the chance to unleash your strongest attacks against Estark. You can also use the Timbrel of Tension to raise your party’s tension to ramp up your offensive capabilities. When members of your party go down too fast, use Yangus’ Kerplunk spell.
Using the monster Team Call is also a viable option for this fight to improve your damage potential.
The recommended equipment for fighting Estark are as follows:
- Liquid Metal Armor – Can be worn by all members of the party. Reduces Bang, Crack, Frizz, Sizz and Woosh elemental damage by around 33% (found at the Dragovian Path, Baccarat Casino)
- Magic Vestment – Can be worn by Angelo, Jessica and Morrie. Reduces Bang, Crack, Frizz, Sizz, and Woosh elemental damage by around 33% (found at Argonia, Savella Cathedral)
- Flowing Dress – Can be worn by Jessica and Red. Reduces Frizz, Sizz, Bang, and Fire Breath damage by around 33% (bought at Tryan Gully).
After defeating Estark, you will obtain the Emperor’s Bracelet which doubles your attack damage when equipped.
