Attacks

1) Fin Bash

Rams the entire party to deal physical damage. Can only be performed when the party is close to Sin’s Left Fin.

2) Gravija

Reduces the HP of all targets by 75%. Charges the attack before use.

3) Negation

Removes all positive and negative status effects, except Auto-Life, Curse, Death, and Doom on all targets.

Strategy

How to Defeat

Cast Hastega on the party to gain the speed advantage. You can mitigate damage from Gravija by having Yuna cast Shell, though the boss is likely to Dispel it afterward with Negation.

For offense, Lulu can bombard Sin’s Left Fin by doublecasting Flare or Ultima. Holy also deals a significant amount of damage. To attack it physically, maneuver the ship closer to the boss. Use Auron’s Armor Break on Sin’s Left Fin before Tidus or Kimahri attack.

Aeon’s are also effective against Sin’s Left Fin to easily burst down the boss, though you will want to save their Overdrives for the fight against Overdrive Sin. Keep reapplying Hastega to get in as much damage as you can before the boss gets its turn.
