Tros Boss Attacks

1) Normal Attack

Tros’ normal attacks. They do a moderate amount of damage to a single target.

2) Tentacles

Hits a target multiple times. Does slightly more damage than the normal attack.

3) Nautilus Charge

A powerful tackle that hits all targets. Is performed after the boss loses a significant amount of HP.

Tros Boss Strategy

Use Cheer at the start of battle

Have Tidus use Cheer on himself and on ???? to bolster your attack and defense during the fight.

Steal Grenades from Tros

You’ll need a good amount of grenades to take out Tros, even after Tidus uses Cheer on the party. Don’t forget to use Overdrive as well when you get the chance to.

Use Trigger Commands

Once Tros enough HP, he will swim to the end of the area and prepare to use Nautilus Charge. He will be out of reach from Tidus’ attacks but Rikku can still throw grenades at him from a distance. You will also gain the Trigger Command “Stand By” which allows you to recover 50 HP when used. This allows you to endure Nautilus Charge the boss will use since you won’t be able to avoid it the first time.

Continue pummeling Tros with attacks until it swims again to the end of the area. This time around, you can use the Trigger Command “Pincer Attack” to close the gap and prevent the boss from performing Nautilus Charge.
