Area: Al Bhed Entrance and Main Corridor
| 1 | Meet up with Rikku’s father Cid. Watch a cutscene. |

| 2 | Pick up Al Bhed Primer (Vol. XIX) and two Hi-Potions from dead Al Bhed Soldiers. |
| 3 | Save your game at a Save Sphere to the right of the doorway. |
| 4 | Proceed to the Al Bhed Main Corridor while facing Guardo Guards and Bombs along the way. |
| 5 | Inside the corridor, look for a Treasure Chest at the bottom of the stairs and pick-up Al Bhed Potions. |
| 6 | Save game at the Save Sphere to the left of the main corridor’s three pathways. |
| 7 | Avoid entering the doorway near the Save Sphere as you will be locked out. |
| 8 | Proceed to the next section called the Living Quarters. It is marked by a green square on the mini-map. This is the southernmost section of the corridor area. |
Area: Al Bhed – Living Quarters and Return to Al Bhed – Main Corridor
| 9 | Pick-up Al Bhed Primer (Vol. XX) on a bed after defeating a group of Guado Guardians and Dual Horns. |

| 10 | A Treasure Chest can also be found in the area. You have the option to select three items from Bomb, Elixir, Hi-Potion, Mega-Potion, Soft, Chimera, Potion, Remedy, and Evil Eye. |
| 11 | There’s another treasure chest on the right side requesting a password |
| 12 | Pick-up Friend Sphere after you successfully the right password. |
| 13 | Go outside to the main corridor and back to the stairs near the Save Sphere. |
| 14 | Proceed down the middle path to find a Treasure Chest containing six Al Bhed Potions |
| 15 | Go back and proceed to the right pathway to obtain an Al Bhed Primer (Vol XXI). |
| 16 | In the same area, you will encounter two puzzles which reward you with a Skill Sphere and a Special Sphere. |
| 17 | After solving the puzzles, go back to the Save Sphere and go through the doorway. |
| 18 | Watch a short cutscene and proceed to battle against Guado Guardians and Chimaeras. |
| 19 | After the battle and a cutscene, proceed to the bottom of the stairs and pick up another Level 2 Key Sphere. |
| 20 | In the next area, hidden behind the stairs, there is a Treasure Chest containing a Level 4 Key Sphere. |
| 21 | Enter the doorway. |
Area: Al Bhed – Environmental Control Room and Airship Dock
| 22 | Watch cutscene and pick-up a 10,000 Gil from a Treasure Chest inside the room. |

Walkthrough Part 18 – Al Bhed Strategy
1) Treasure Chest of Dreams
A Treasure Chest in the Living Quarters will ask “What Do I Contain?”. You can pick three items from the following:
- Bomb, Elixir, Hi-Potion, Mega-Potion, Soft, Chimera, Potion, Remedy, and Evil Eye
2) Second Treasure Chest Password
Another Treasure Chest will ask for a password:
- 1st password: Sorry (middle option on the bottom row).
- 2nd password: Wait (right option on the middle row).
- 3rd password: Pardon (middle option on the middle row).
3) First Treasure Chest Puzzle
The first Treasure Chest in the right pathway will give you questions to solve:
- The first digit is _ plus _
- The second digit is _ minus _
- The third digit is _ times _
- The fourth digit is _ plus _
4) Second Treasure Chest Puzzle
The second Treasure Chest on the right pathway will give you questions to solve:
- Q: Are you Al Bhed? A: Yes (3rd answer down)
- Q: Name the son of the Al Bhed leader. A: Brother (4th answer down)
- Q: Oh what island do the Al Bhed live? A: Bikanel Island (2nd answer down)
- Q: What is Al Bhed in Al Bhed? A: Al Bhed (1st answer down)
