Selena is one of the retainers of Camilla from Fire Emblem: Fates. She also has a connection to one of the older characters such as Cordelia. Unlike Cordelia however, she has a more snarky personality. She also doesn’t train as a pegasus knight but instead chooses to wield a sword. In Fire Emblem Heroes, she appears as a Red/Sword infantry unit.
Stats
Selena’s specialty lies in defeating Armored Enemies. As such, she has a higher ATK which makes up for the low Mt of Armorslayer. She has decent Def and Res, allowing her to tank to a certain extent. However, she’s meant more for obliterating armored units instead of tanking.

Strategy
Selena’s main asset is her being an armor-slayer. As an armor slayer, she can deal heavy damage against armored units. However, other characters such as Caeda can easily replace her due to heightened mobility. At the same time, Caeda has an inherently larger RES than Selena does due to being a Pegasus Knight. Nevertheless, she still serves her purpose especially for beginner players who come across armored units.
Selena can be paired up with heroes like Soren who can help defeat Blue-Armored Units for her. As Soren has a large ATK, he can tear a hole through those units. This gives Selena the opening she needs to utilize Armorslayer or Armorslayer+. She can also work well with Setsuna. As Setsuna deals additional debuff such as reduced Def, this allows Selena to one-shot the armored unit.
To increase Selena’s potential in battle, players can opt to grant her Bonfire which makes use of her decent defense. Another is to make use of her attack by granting her Draconic Aura or Draconic Gaze. As a means to help her improve her versatility, players can also grant her sword-breaker to prevent her from being limited to Armored Units only. Spur Atk or Hone Atk also works well since she’ll be in the front line most of the time, powering the tome user behind her.
She is one of the few characters that can counter armored units like Hector and Sheena. Due to her decent defense and increased affinity, she can take almost no damage from green units.
Counter
- Delthea – Delthea has a strong ATK power that makes her Res look bad. The fact that she’s a blue/tome also makes her incredibly potent against Selena.
- Subaki – Using Triangle Adept with a combination of Escutcheon or any damage reducing skill, Subaki can instantly catch up with Selena.
- Clive – As a physical tank and a cavalry, Clive can easily soak up damage coming from Selena and defeat her almost immediately if tricked up right.
- Kagero – Kagero has a weapon that allows her to deal extra damage to infantry units.
