Teaser for Injustice 2 DLC fighter Atom Revealed

The reveal is made during the finale of Chasing the Cup Injustice 2 documentary series on the CW SEED channel. The move for the DLC fighter Atom provides a subtle promotion for an incoming 4-series DC superhero crossover on the channel. Other DC characters from the CWTV channel present in the game are The Flash, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Vixen (a Cheetah exclusive skin), and Captain Cold. Fans and players alike didn’t expect this reveal as they were anticipating the release of Hellboy which is the last of the trio of Injustice 2’s second fighter pack.

Ryan Choi plays this version of the Atom. He took up the mantle when Ray Palmer, the first Atom, mysteriously disappeared. Among his specific powers and abilities are the following:

  • Size-Alteration and Stability
  • Hand-to-hand training
  • Genius level intellect
  • Limited flight by riding air currents
  • Limited superhuman strength by shifting mass into fists

According to the Injustice DC Comics, the Atom appears as one of Batman’s allies after the fallout of the Regime. He joined Batman during the defense of Stryker Island and knocked Superman out.  He entered Superman’s brain and used his Kryptonite shard to stun him when he broke out of his cell.

Background
