[News] Hellboy and other character are in Injustice 2’s latest DLC Fighter Pack 2!

Fighter Pack 2 was recently released, and included fan-favorites from different universes, some not even from DC.

Injustice 2’s DLC Fighter Pack 2 contents Revealed!

In a decision both annoying and exciting, Injustice 2 has been recently rolling out Fighter Packs in order for new characters–some of them not from the DC comics–to become playable in the main game. This makes sense from even a game standpoint, with all the alternate universes theme that Injustice 2’s story plays with.

Anyway, NetherRealm released another trailer for the DLC Fighter Pack 2 this week, and it’s moderately exciting. Check it out here:

Breakdown: The trailer begins with a character being launched by Raiden towards a wall. Black Manta dramatically walks under a dark waterfall, causing Raiden to go into a fighting stance. Manta aims and fires missiles at the electricity-wielding man, prompting him to dodge and allowing the missile to take out a chunk of the wall as another missile trails off in the darkness.  A thick, red, hand catches the missile and lights his cigarette using the thruster portion of the rocket. “Thanks for the light, pal. This just got a whole lot interesting,” he says.

Hellboy doesn’t sound like Ron Perlman, by the way, which might irk some fans, (yours truly, for example). In fact, the whole look of  Hellboy is rather cartoony compared to the looks of the other characters in-game, which have a distinct, but realistic look on them.

So far, I’m not personally excited (apart from seeing Hellboy) about this specific fighter pack. In fact, the whole idea seems shoddy–a cash grab to gain more money. And while I love Hellboy, I can’t help but wonder why none of fighter pack 2’s playable characters are from DC’s line up.
