1) Fin Bash

Rams the entire party to deal physical damage. Can only be performed when the party is close to Sin’s Right Fin.

2) Gravija

Reduces the HP of all targets by 75%. Charges before use.

3) Negation

Removes all positive and negative status effects, except Auto-Life, Curse, Death, and Doom, on all targets.

Strategy

How to Defeat Sin’s Right Fin

Begin the fight by using Hastega to get even more ahead in turns. Have Yuna use Shell to reduce damage from Gravija, though you will need to reapply it as the boss’ Negation will remove the buff.

Attack the boss by doublecasting Lulu’s Flare or Ultima to take out a significant amount of its HP. Yuna can stack even more damage using Holy. Summoning aeons is also a good strategy, though you will want to save their Overdrives for when you are up against Overdrive Sin.

You can maneuver the ship closer to Sin’s Right Fin to engage it head-on with physical attacks. Lower its defenses with Auron’s Armor Break, then have Tidus and other physical damage-dealers unload on it.

Be sure to reapply Hastega and Shell when you need to should the fight drag on longer than expected.
