Area: Thunder Plains
| 1 | Listen to the dialogue. |

| 2 | After the intermission, talk to the Al Bhed by the save sphere. |
| 3 | Take the rightmost path and loot the chest. |
| 4 | Continue north while hugging the right side for another chest. |
| 5 | Follow the path to find the third chest near the middle of the path. |
| 6 | Head to the path on the left to reach the Travel agency. |
| 7 | Optional: Go inside the agency to buy items. |
| 8 | Continue past the agency to reach the next area. |
| 9 | As you arrive, loot the chest. |
| 10 | Head north until you reach the middle of the area. |
| 11 | Examine the chest on the right, then continue north. |
| 12 | Collect the chest near the lake. |
| 13 | Follow the path to reach Macalania Woods. |
Strategy
Training at the plains
While it is a good chance to start earning some experience, Stalwarts may interrupt your progress. Compared to others, they can pose as a threat if you take time to defeat them. Don’t be stingy with MP and channel your powerful attacks to take them out. Having a Black Mage helps immensely since they can nuke them with spells like Firaga.
