Walkthrough Part 3 – Mt. Gagazet Floating Ruins Strategy
1) Boss: Leblanc Syndicate
Have one member equip Songstress and the rest can either be a Warrior or a Gunner. Rikku should initiate the fight with Steal or Pilfer Gil to snatch some loot. Then, have the Songstress cast Darkness Dance to immobilize the syndicate. The last member should focus on attacking Leblanc before dealing with the others. Use Thunder and Power Break for some heavy damage, then whittle them down with physical attacks.
2) Optional: Beat Leblanc Syndicate in the Mount Gagazet Race
- Follow the path, then jump the gap. Go to the far end of the platform for a chest. Then, return and follow the path connected by a broken column.
- Ignore the second broken column to enter the door leading to the temple. Climb up and press the mysterious switches on both sides.
- Return to the middle and head north. Run straight and then drop off the first pit. Scale back up then continue north. Hold circle to get across the pillars.
- Make a right and continue across the toppled column for a chest.
- Back at the main road, head straight and follow the path to cross another column.
- Halfway over, scale across to reach the opposite path for a cutscene. Defeat the enemies.
- Jump across some floating rocks beside a pillar. Go along the path near the column for a chest.
- Return and cross the column. Continue forward until you reach the Save Sphere. If you beat them, you can receive a reward from the last chest.
- You can always restart the race if you fail to beat the Leblanc Syndicate. The Muscle Belt is worth the effort.
3) Boss: Boris
Before the fight, have one of the members equip the Red Ring.
Choose either to have all members wear the Warrior dressphere or have two switch to Warrior while the remaining member selects Songstress. Cast Darkness Dance to weaken Boris, then have Rikku use Steal and the remaining Red Ring equipped member use Fire.
Boris will use Sticky End on every fourth turn. Use potions whenever one of the party’s HP falls under 60. Keep striking Boris and it will eventually go down.
