What are Chronolith Trials?
Optional time attack mode unlocked in New Game Plus (NG+).
Chronolith Trials are post-game time attack-style challenges in Final Fantasy XVI (FF16) that can be accessed throughout different areas in Valisthea on New Game Plus (NG+). A Chronolith Trial is marked by a standing stone that emits blue light when a challenge is available.
Final Fantasy XVI (FF16) Post-Gme Unlockables Guide
To earn more time in a Chronolith Trial, you must meet specific objectives such as using certain Eikon abilities or performing combos on enemies. The difficulty of Chronolith Trial stage increases as you progress to higher levels.
Your score after each run of the Chronolith Trials is ranked via the online leaderboard (requires internet connection), allowing you to compete against other players for high scores.
Final Chronolith Trials
Final Chronolith Trials are essentially harder Chronolith Trials that are only available in Final Fantasy Mode. As with the regular timed challenges, players are ranked in the online leaderboard based on their scores in this mode.
Rewards
Trial Run Achievement (Bronze Trophy).
The Trial Run achievement (Bronze trophy) is unlocked for clearing at least one (1) Chronolith Trial in the game.
