Prologue Demo Walkthrough and Carry Over Features Guide for Final Fantasy XVI (FF16)
What to Do in the Playable Demo
Play the main story’s Prologue chapter.
The Final Fantasy XVI (FF16) demo lets you can play as the main character Clive in his younger days.
You can play and complete the trial version in about 2 and a half hours.
Save data can be carried over to the full version.
Clear data (progress) from the playable demo can be carried over to the full version.
After purchasing the full game, you can continue the main story from where you cleared it in the demo.
Completing the demo unlocks Eikonic Challenge mode.
Once you have cleared the demo, a mode called “Eikonic Challenge” that allows you to use the abilities and actions of the Eikons Garuda and Titan (including Limit Breaks) becomes available.
You can spend time in this mode to get used to the characteristics and combat style using each summoned beast’s abilities before the full title launches.
Game Settings to Adjust Before Starting the Demo
It is recommended to set the screen brightness to high.
Before beginning the demo, it is recommended to set up some system settings.
Night scenes in the game are particularly dark which makes it very hard to see, so the higher you set the screen brightness, the better.
Choose your preferred performance setting.
In terms of performance, you can choose between “Priority to Image Quality” and “Priority to Performance.”
If you usually play action games and are worried about framerate dropping you should play with “Priority to Performance.” If you do not mind any frame drops, you can choose “Priority to Image Quality.”
Choose your preferred gameplay mode based on your skill.
Select the gameplay mode at the end of the game settings phase.
For those who are familiar with action games, choose “Action Focus” where battle actions are set to manual.
If you are not good at action games and just want to enjoy the story , select “Story Focus.” This setting enables assisted combat so that your character that can automatically perform combos and evade enemy attacks in battle.

Sunrise, Sunset
1 | Head to the throne room from the back ┗ Get items when you examine shining spots. |

Lost in a Fog
1 | Proceed through the area while defeating goblins. ┗ Prioritize defeating magical goblins. |

Phoenix
