Final Fantasy 16 Stats and Attributes Explained

Stats	Details
HP	Refers to Clive’s HP pool. Hit Points (HP) are reduced when taking damage. Should this number fall to zero, the game will be over.
Attack	Refers to Clive’s overall attack power based on attack stats and equipment. It is determined by a combination of STR and gear quality. The higher the value, the more damage is dealt to enemies.
Defense	Refers to Clive’s overall defense power based on defense stats and equipment. It is determined by a combination of VIT and gear quality. The higher the value, the lesser the damage taken from enemies.
Stagger	Refers to Clive’s overall capacity to knock down enemies. It is determined by a combination of WIL and gear quality. The higher the value, the higher and quicker chance of staggering targets.
STR	Refers to Clive’s strength stat which directly affects attack stat.
VIT	Refers to Clive’s vitality stat which directly affects defense stat.
WIL	Refers to Clive’s willpower stat which directly affects stagger stat.
LV	Refers to Clive’s base level. Clive’s stats and abilities increase whenever he levels up.
AP	Refers to Clive’s Ability Points. Clive can boost his abilities when AP is gained through leveling up.
Gil	Refers to the currency in Valiszea. Clive can use this to purchase new equipment and items from shops.

How to Increase Clive’s Stats?

Equip Weapons, Armor, and Accessories

Getting Clive equipped with weapons, armor, and accessories will boost his Attack, Defense, Willpower, and HP stats.

STR, VIT, and WIL will also increase in the same manner.

Level up Clive

As you play the main story, Clive will level up and increase his stats.

Consume items with temporary stat boosts

If Clive consumes Chikara Medicines or Protective Potions, he can temporarily increase his Attack and Defense Power for one minute.

Don’t use it all the time and save it for strong enemies.
