How to Get Ultima Weapon Guide for Final Fantasy XVI (FF16)

Can only be crafted on Final Fantasy Mode (NG+) during the post-game.

The legendary sword Ultima Weapon can only be obtained via crafting in Final Fantasy XVI (FF16) when playing on Final Fantasy difficulty (NG+). There is no way to get the weapon outside of these conditions so you will need to clear the main story once to unlock Final Fantasy Mode to get it.

Ultima Weapon Crafting Materials

After gathering the required materials, talk to the blacksmith at The Hideaway to forge the Ultima Weapon. This legendary armament is essentially Final Fantasy Mode’s version of the Gotterdammerung crafted in NG but with significantly higher Attack and Will (stagger damage) to deal with the enhanced enemies found in the more challenging difficulty setting.

The Ultima Weapon utterly outclasses the Gotterdammerung at 700 Attack and 700 Stagger (will gauge damage). It is the most powerful sword for Clive in the game and is a highly-recommended weapon for clearing Final Fantasy Mode (NG+).
