How to Unlock Ultimaniac Difficulty Guide for Final Fantasy XVI (FF16)
Only available in Arcade Mode (Post-Game).
Ultimaniac mode, the game’s hardest difficulty setting, is only selectable in the Arcade Mode of Final Fantasy XVI (FF16). To unlock Arcade Mode, you must clear the game’s main story at least once on any difficulty (Action Focus or Story Focus).
Rewards for Clearing Ultimaniac Mode
No rewards (to be confirmed).
While yet to be confirmed, there are likely no rewards for beating all Arcade Mode missions on Ultimaniac. The main purpose of playing through this mode is to compete with other players from all over the world via the Arcade Mode leaderboard (requires internet connection).
About Ultimaniac Mode
Ultimaniac difficulty is the most challenging mode in the game, even more so than Final Fantasy Mode. Enemies encountered on Ultimaniac are extremely powerful and are capable of taking out Clive in just a few hits. Players looking for greater challenge after clearing the main story on Final Fantasy Mode should test their skills on Ultimaniac and compare their scores to other players from Arcade Mode’s online leaderboard.
