Limit Break Guide for Final Fantasy XVI (FF16)

Press L3 + R3 when the Limit Break gauge is full.

If you press L3 + R3 in Final Fantasy XVI (FF16) while the Limit Break gauge is full, Clive will activate Limit Break and will temporarily gain enhanced actions in battle.

During Clive’s enhanced state, abilities such as enhanced attack actions, and increased attack power and defense are improved.

In addition, Clive gains HP regeneration when in Limit Break mode.

Clive starts out with two (2) Limit Break gauges.

At the start of the game, Clive only has two (2) Limit Break gauges. You can, however, get a total of 3 by upgrading the ability, and up to 4 by Mastering it.

How to Fill the Limit Break Gauge

Can be charged by attacking or taking damage.

The Limit Break gauge accumulates charge when you attack enemies or take damage yourself.

You can also fill the Limit Break gauge by performing Precision Dodge or guarding with Titan Block.

When to Use Limit Break

Activate during an enemy’s Takedown state.

Since Clive’s attack power increases when in Limit Break, you should use it when the enemy is in Takedown state where they are defensless and prone to taking increased damage.
