What are Visual Alerts?

Visual Alerts is a word that is not often heard, but in Final Fantasy XVI (FF16), it refers to the representation of game sounds as colors and waveforms for the players with hearing impairments.

Depending on the type of sound being played in the game, the colors displayed on the left and right sides of the screen will change. The sizes of the waveforms will also change according to the volume of the sound.

In-game voices in the game may correspond to the above colors, but there may be some inaccuracies.

How to Set Visual Alerts

You can switch Visual Alerts to ON or OFF from “Start” → “System” → “Sound Settings” → “Visual Alerts”.

Why Visual Alerts was Talked About

Players who turned it on by default were confused.
