Tied as a default obtainable hero whose stats lack any boons/banes like the other members of the Order of Heroes. In spite of this flaw, Anna fares well against tome units and dragonstone bearers due to her high natural Resistance stat. To fend off enemies, she complements it with high Attack and has great default kit passive skills. Unfortunately she lacks endurance to take out high attack and high defense enemies because of her lackluster Defense.

Strategy

Anna holds the position as a dragon and tome sweeper. With access to fantastic speed among the neutral group, she can easily double on blue and green mages to rescue low Resistance allies.

Her passive skills enable her to pass Resistance to buff allies who are otherwise Res weak. This can turn the tides onto the player’s favor, especially when dealing with most tome and dragonstone units. However, her selling point is her Nóatún which provides her with a chance to escape from the enemy’s grasp when she is in a pinch.

Skill inheritance-wise Anna can deter tome units by learning Distant Counter, this allows her to block them from getting some free damage. In addition she appreciates this skill in tandem with Vantage 3 to perform follow-ups when at certain HP ranges. To cover the speedy Arena battles, Anna also appreciates learning the well-rounded Special Skill Luna to punish most foes especially the magic wielders in combat.

She functions better when complemented with heroes that cover her glaring weakness to red units. Azura who comes with the default Sapphire Lance to take out red units, allows Anna to freely move across the map and deal with the greens that trouble Azura. In addition, since she has Sing, to which she can pass another turn to Anna to reach farther distances and catch up to distant tome units.

Despite taking neutral damage against her fellow green units, more durable variants are problematic, she also requires some coverage through red allies such as Xander whose innate Siegfried not only covers Greens but can also retaliate against opposing Archer and Dagger units. Meanwhile, Anna can deal with the tome units that plague Xander’s mediocre Res, save for the red tome units that happen to be out of her reach.

Counter

  • Anna can be dealt by using high defense Cavalry units such as Xander and Eldigan. Apart from that, red units in general and bow units who can snipe her from afar make great counters especially against variants that lack distant counter.
  • Lucina – Thanks to Lucina’s powerful attack and color advantage, she can easily deliver severe damage to Anna’s poor Defense stat.
  • Tharja – Despite being a tome unit, her color advantage and Ranged damage can pose a threat during the enemy phase if she is caught within range.
  • Takumi – Sharing the same trait of being a ranged unit to the tome units, he differs by dealing Attack and not Magic, enabling him to pierce through Anna’s defense. In addition he has the benefit of dealing twice when paired with Singer/Dancer.
