Strategy

Laslow is a red-sword unit similar to that of Chrom but Chrom has better balance. Laslow is more of a sweeper-type hero, diving into battle and cleaving against the smaller units. However, his higher HP does allow him to tank physical attacks. His Res however is so small that even a Red Tome can instantly one-shot him.

For a hero like Laslow, players can opt to go Vantage or Quick Riposte. Combining these two gives Laslow a chance to attack first before the enemy. This will allow the player to have an instant advantage. For assist, players can use Drag Back in order to have Laslow peel at the front lines. As he drags back the enemy, the other allies can take down the enemy. This works well if Laslow is working alongside Tome Users like Delthea and Celica.

Laslow however cannot deal heavy damage against Blue/Lancers. Another is that his attack can still be softened against armored units like Hector and Draug. His main hard counter is Gwendolyn, a Blue/Lancer/Armored and Delthea, a Blue/Tome.

Counter

  • Delthea – Delthea has a strong ATK power that makes his Res look bad. The fact that she’s a blue/tome also makes her incredibly potent against Laslow.
  • Celica – While Celica is a Red/Tome, her magic deals heavy damage especially when at full HP.
  • Robin (M) – Tanky in both Def and Res, Robin (M) can soak up incoming damage from Laslow before throwing it back at him. He can instantly one-shot Laslow without needing to learn Retribution.
  • Kagero – Kagero has a weapon that allows her to deal extra damage to infantry units.
