Merchant Shop (Trade for Spinels)
You can also exchange Spinels for Yellow Herbs from the Weapon Merchant’s shop. Note that the price of each Yellow Herb is quite steep (3 Spinels each) so you may need to go around collecting Spinels or doing Merchant Requests in the game to acquire them this way.

Yellow Herbs cannot be used on its own.
It is not possible to upgrade your HP by simply using a Yellow Herb. You will need to at least have one Green Herb or one Red Herb on hand and combine it with your Yellow Herb.
Despite not being immediately useful on their own, Yellow Herbs are among the most essential collectible items you can find in the game so be sure to take the time exploring the Los Illuminados village, castle, and island areas to avoid missing out on any of them.
Can be sold off once you have reached the HP upgrade limit.
Upon reaching the maximum allowable health pool in the game, Yellow Herbs start to lose their value. Once you are at this point and have become less reliant on healing items, feel free to sell off any Yellow Herbs you come by at the Weapon Merchant’s shop for money (Pesetas) instead. You can also sell Yellow Herb mixtures to make even more money than what you would earn by offloading Yellow Herbs by themselves.
Materials used for crafting items cannot be refunded.
Note that any ingredients you use in crafting are permanently lost. Because of this, try to save at least one Green Herb or Red Herb in your inventory and have it reserved for the next Yellow Herb you might find as you progress further into the game.
