Method 1: Fully upgrade all weapon stats (Tune Up).

One way to unlock infinite ammo for the Chicago Sweeper and Handcannon is to fully upgrade their stats. The Chicago Sweeper requires a total of 650,000 ptas to enhance all of its parameters (Power, Ammo Capacity, and Reload Speed)  to max. The Handcannon, meanwhile, will cost you up to 530,000 ptas to completely enhance (Power, Ammo Capacity, Reload Speed, and Rate of Fire).

Once all upgrades have been purchased for either of the weapons, you can then buy the Exclusive perk upgrade (ammo does not run out) for 10,000 ptas each.

Method 2: Use Exclusive Upgrade Tickets.

To skip having to max out the Chicago Sweeper or Handcannon’s stats, you can use an Exclusive Upgrade Ticket instead. This rare item can be obtained by trading in Spinels at the Weapon Merchant’s shop. Note that each ticket costs a steep amount of the collectible gems so you may need to go around looking for them or clearing Merchant Requests to earn the required amount.

Other Exclusive Weapon Perks

Indestructible Perk (Primal Knife)

Using either method described above, you can also purchase a special perk for the Primal Knife that will prevent it from losing durability when used. This essentially makes the weapon unbreakabe and is an obvious replacement for the Combat Knife that Leon has access to early in the game.

Infinite Ammo (Rocket Launcher)

Unlike other weapons, the Rocket Launcher already has unlimited ammo once you purchase it from the Weapons Merchant in New Game Plus (NG+). Because of its high firepower and endless supply of rockets, the Infinite Rocket Launcher is a good weapon to use for clearing the game on Professional difficulty.
