Ways to Earn Money
Break boxes and crates.
Breakable objects such as boxes and crates that litter the various areas of the game may contain money as well as equipment and supplies you can use. Whenever yo discover a new location on a new playthrough, take the time to check every nook and cranny for objects you can destroy to avoid missing out on any Pesetas or items contained within them.
Sell items at the Weapons Merchant’s shop.
You can also earn money in the game is by selling various items you do not need at the shop. Weapons, consumable items, ammo, and treasures you find can be offloaded to the Weapons Merchant to earn a decent amount of Pesetas. Just make sure to have enough equipment and supplies yourself after selling off goods at the shop.
To get even more money from selling your wares, you can combine items such as herbs and treasures before you get rid of them at the shop.
Defeat large enemies.
Large foes such as the Chainsaw Man, Regenerators, and Iron Maidens will drop hefty sums of Pesetas when defeated, unlike the common Ganado enemies you will constantly encounter throughout the game. Human and non-human opponents that are greater in size are also typically stronger and more aggressive than Ganados so knowing how to dodge their attacks and aiming at their weak spots is important if you want to take them down.

Treasures
Among the best ways to get lots of Pesetas is to combine treasures you find which greatly increases their value at the shop. Once you pick up any kind of trinket in the game, try to examine it from your inventory for any holes a jewel piece may fit in or any possible missing parts which can be found later. You may regret selling off a treasure on its own as the amount of ptas you get after combining may be more than the sum of each individual part.

Herb Mixtures

It is, however, not recommended to sell off any Mixed Herbs that use Yellow Herbs such as Mixed Herb (G + Y), Mixed Herb (R + Y), Mixed Herb (G + G + Y), and Mixed Herb (G + R + Y), especially during your first playthrough. Yellow Herb mixtures are among the most valuable consumables you can make in the game as they increase Leon’s maximum health when used.

Learn to kill enemies using knives only.
Being proficient at taking down regular foes using knives is a good way to save ammo that you can simply sell off at the shop. Getting good at perfect parrying foes using Leon’s Combat Knife gives you a chance to knock them down. Before your opponent can get up, run up to them and finish them off using your blade without having to even draw your gun.
Note that you will occasionally need to have the Combat Knife repaired at the shop as well due to continued use.
