Tips to Get Stable Frame Rate for Resident Evil 4 Remake
This page contains list of tips to get stable frame rate for Resident Evil 4 Remake (Biohazard RE 4), including recommended settings to adjust from the game’s options menu and other methods to get consistent fps without stuttering.
Please note that this article provides general tips for achieving consistent frame rate using in-game settings. It currently does not cover other methods available to the PC (Steam) version of the game such as settings and configurations that can be tweaked via the graphics card control panel (may be added in the future).
Adjust Video Priority setting.
From the game’s main menu, go to OPTIONS > DISPLAY. Then adjust the Image Quality / Video Priority setting to prioritize frame rate. This will hopefully allow your game to run smoother, especially during cutscenes and in-game moments where there are a lot of dynamic elements on the screen.
Turn off ray tracing.
For even more consistent fps, it is recommended to turn off ray tracing as well. Disabling this setting will minimize the strain on your hardware by reducing the appearance of fine details such as shadows seen on the water’s surface or sunlight piercing through the trees during gameplay.
