Farming Armor Materials
In The Surge, you would often find items called Armor Materials/Components that you can use to build armor sets. These Components are used to craft Schematics, which are the blueprints used for building a specific piece of armor. This guide will teach you about farming armor materials within the areas in the game.
The four armor pieces require specific materials in order to craft them. Keep in mind that these materials have four different Mark varieties (Mk I, II, II, and IV):
- Head – Cortical Processor
- Chest – Rig Armature
- Arms – Force Regulators
- Legs – Pneumatic Helix
How to Farm Armor Materials
If you find a Schematic for a new armor, you now must find armor materials to use for crafting. The materials can be farmed by severing different parts of an enemy’s body (through Execution). After getting the loot from the severed part, take the armor piece to the Gear Assembly then recycle it into materials.

the materials are found by executing an enemy on the item you want to farm.
example: you want helmet parts: you execute your enemy’s head
And WHERE do you find enemies with MK1 parts vs MK3 parts? That’s obviously what this guy was asking bc the article DOESN’T answer that. Central.processing contains 3 types of enemies!
