Increasing Experience Modifier
In The Surge, there are several ways where you can increase your experience points (known as tech scraps). In addition, there is a method where you can increase the tech scraps that you get for every enemy that you kill, and that is through increasing your experience modifier.
How to Increase your Experience Modifier
Defeating enemies in the game will give you tech scraps, these are items that you can use for either experience points or currency. You can use these tech scraps to increase your core power and upgrade your weapons and armor.
You will receive the same amount of tech scraps every time you defeat the same type of enemy, however; every kill that you execute will increase your experience modifier by a little bit.
The amount of tech scraps that you receive after a kill will appear at the bottom-right corner of the screen, and the experience multiplier will appear next to the tech scrap icon.
However, the drawback about this mechanic is whenever you go back to the MedBay and rest, the experience modifier will reset.
So the secret in getting more tech scraps is to kill as many enemies as possible in one go before resting at the MedBay.
Just so you guys know the gear assembly doesn’t reset tech multiplier which means you can farm tech scrap really easily in areas where the enemies are weak (for you)
