Main Walkthrough – Research and Development

Exhibition Floor

  • After landing in the area, there will be a security door that you won’t be able to open. Climb the ramp to the right of the security door.
  • Head up the ramp to the left and take out the Maintenance Robot. After defeating it, go through the open door.
  • The small area will be filled with poisonous gas, so you need to keep using health injections to survive.
  • Go to the Drone Panel on the wall ahead and override it. After using the panel, go through the opened door to the left.
  • Pick up the Dear Micky… audiolog and an Equalizer once you’re inside the Contact Station.
  • Return to the forked area, then head up. This will lead you to the area’s Operations Center/MedBay.
  • Eliminate the Maintenance Robot which will come down the ramp.
  • Climb to the top and defeat the Welder Drone.
  • Continue going through the path until you reach the Exhibition Hall.
  • Follow the walkway and look behine the exhibits on the right to get a Mechanized Counterweight v.3.
  • Go past the locked door until you reach the stairs going downwards.
  • Don’t go through the stairs leading download and take the stairs upwards in the area.
  • In the area, pick up a Pile of Metal Scrap. There is also an inactive locked door in this area.
  • Return to the lower walkway then take the stairs down to the main floor.
  • Go to the orange building nearby to head to the Command Centre and MedBay.
  • At the top of the MedBay, pick up another Pile of Metal Scrap.
  • To the right of the entrance to the MedBay, you will find a weak spot of the wall that can be destroyed. Pick up the inactive EXO-Lift and an Vital Boost v.3.
  • There is also a CREO IP-75 “Inducer” at a glass on the exhibits to the left of the MedBay.
  • Once you’re inside the MedBay, you will meet an NPC named Alec Norris. Talk to him and he will give you a quesr as well as a Key Card.
  • Find the Dr. Lawrence Murphy, Log #2 audiolog on the floor in the area.
  • Proceed up the stairs behind the Command Centre until you reach the door that leads to the Applied Nanoscience area.

Applied Nanoscience

  • At the top of the area, go through the open door that will lead to the hallway. Eliminate the Flamthrower Rig and the Shield Drone patrolling the area.
  • Open the door at the end of the hallway and proceed. There is an NPC named Gene Barret that is in this area, talk to him behind a window on the right.
  • Barret will unlock a door at the opposite side of the room. Go through this door.

Restricted Area – Utopia Project

  • In this room, you will need to face two Grenadier RIGs and two Flamethrower RIGs. Watch out for the white fogs surrounding some structure in the area as they are extremely volatile and prone to exploding.
  • Once you defeat the enemies, find the overcharge panel at the base of the stairs. You will need 65 Power Core to access the panel.
  • In the center of the group of desks by the base of the stairs, access the Contact Station to get an Reservations audiolog.
  • There is a locked door at the end of the room and on the platform to the right is an overcharge panel. You will need 27 Power Core to access this panel.
  • Open the locked door and eliminate the Flamethrower RIG. There is also a lott here containing an Plasmic Regenerator v.3.
  • Climb the stairs then eliminate the Flamethrower RIG at the top.
  • Destroy the weak section of the wall at the end of the room to enter a ventilation area.
  • Head to the left, then at the end of the path, use the EXO-Lift to reach the higher level of the ducts. Follow the ducts then drop into the hallway below.
  • In the area, kill the two Liquidator RIGs.
  • After killing the enemies, head to the open door at the end of the hallway to go to the Bio Impact Research area.

Bio Impact Research

  • There is a Liquidator that lies ahead, and another concealed by the right side of the door.

The trick is to lure one at a time to the hallway, take it out first then make the other one come out.

  • Head into the room, do not examine the white mist contained inside the glass.
  • Take out the pair of Liquidators, one should be on the left side, while the other faking its dead on the floor near the metal contraption.
  • Inspect the corner for a damaged wall, then lure the Liquidator.
  • Go through the tunnel then on the first turn, head right to reveal an Exo lift.
  • Bring the lift downwards to open a path to the Medbay.
  • Go back up and enter the balcony found in the previous room, then overcharge the level 27 Power Circuit.
  • Enter the door that lies from the other side of the door.
  • Continue along the tapering passage to discover another Exo lift.
  • Bring this lift downwards to reach the laboratory section.
  • Turn to find the Contact Station, inspect it to find Homo Machinalis audiolog.
  • Head inside to discover a new enemy, the metallic skeletal Proteus.

This enemy differs from the others as it has 2 phases, just like some of the bosses. It is recommended to guard from its attack, retaliate, then back away. Rinse and continue until it dies.

  • Check the back, right section for a Toxic Autofilter, then unlock the door at the end of the room.
  • With an alternate route to the Applied Nanoscience opened, head back, passing through the Restricted Area: Utopia Project as you go until you arrive at the Bio Impact Research laboratory.
  • Follow the path to reach the ventilation fixed on the back wall, then bring the Exo lift up to reach the next location.

Nano Production Hall I

  • Pass through the vent to end up inside the next room.
  • Continue along the left carefully and take out the Liquidator near the wall from behind.
  • Once he goes down, break the damaged portion of the wall and pass through.
  • Take the Exo lift down to reach the section below.
  • This site is devoid of lighting, and there is a Liquidator lurking in the wide area in the room at the last section of the vent.
  • Break in through the slit of the window to get to the floor underneath.

If you dash through and leap to the concrete block on the other side, you can overcharge a level 25 Power circuit to unlock the right door. Inside, you will find Black Project audiolog, and Medi-Voltaic Injection v.3.

  • If you fail to do so, you will be required to go back all the way to get there.
  • Get through the door on the left side of the room (where you previously jumped off of).
  • Take out the Elite Hazard Grenadier, then inspect the back of the white container at the left corner for a breakable crate that contains Energized Power Cell v.3.
  • Keep going to find a door on the right, ignore it for now and watch out for the Elite Hazard Flamethrower which goes back and forth to this area.
  • Inspect the wall behind which is close to the roof to find an Override panel, have the drone companion release the lock then enter the right door.
  • Go through the tapering passageway at the back to enter a new location.

Note that there is a path that leads back to the Exhibition Hall.

The Future of Earth

  • Inside, you will find an Elite Flamethrower and Shield Drone, call them out one by one to the spacious area to get some room to maneuver.
  • Head to the room and inspect the right section near the entrance for a Pile of Rare Material Scrap.
  • Inspect by the wall to the left to take out a Maintenance Bot tucked in behind the shelves.
  • Follow the path to reach the next section to find another pair of enemies.
  • Before you come close, wait for the Elite Grenadier to move away, then take him out and finish the remaining.
  • Reach for the corner to find another door and unlock it to open a shortcut to the Exhibition Hall.
  • Retrace your steps to get to the door where you used the Drone to access the door.

Nano Production Hall II

  • Go through the door then make a left.
  • Head down the steps and eliminate the Elite Grenadier waiting below.

If a Security Drone becomes hostile, have it follow you and conceal yourself.

  • With the left platform devoid of the Elite Grenadier, inspect the left of the illuminating material to find a Pile of High-Tech Scrap.
  • Reach the edge of this platform to locate a Nanite Protocols audiolog.
  • Call the attention of the Grenadier guarding the locked door and take him out.
  • Backtrack to the steps, then head down the steps on the right.
  • Once the Elite Flamethrower turns away, chase it and strike it from behind.
  • Get to the corner of the platform then head up the steps to get to the upper floor.
  • Beware of the several surrounding enemies here

The trick is to lure the Flamethrower-wielder first, the Shield Drones will follow him, and have him follow you until you reach the site where you defeated the previous Grenadier. Once you have lured him, return up the platform and take out the Grenadier. With the level 10 power circuit free from any obstruction, overcharge it to unlock the door situated at the bottom floor. If you prefer to finish off the rest, return hunt down the remaining enemies.

  •  Jump off to reach the floor below, then go through the door.
  • Take out the Elite Flamethrower and run down the path.
  • Once you reach the ramp, cross upwards to reach the next site.

Utopia Loading Bay

  • When you reach the peak of the ramp, a pack of Liquidators accompanied by a Shield Drone surround the area.
  • Once it finds you, the Shield Drone will follow one of the Liquidators, lure them one by one to take them out efficiently.

Separate the first by leading him slightly down the ramp away from the second. Scale up the ramp and finish the remaining.

  • Inspect the left edge of the ramp above for a RIG Capacitor XL.
  • Over at the right section is a makeshift wall covering that takes you to the tunnel, round the first corner to find another passage passing through the path ahead.
  • Tailgate by the Maintenance Robot until it reaches the right, then take it out.
  • Bring the Exo lift found at the far end of the path to reach the path above.
  • At the far side of the vent is a path that leads back to the Nano Production Hall.

Nano Production Hall III

  • Head out of the vent then jump off to reach the floor below.
  • Take out the vicious Proteus, then inspect the monitor on the wall.
  • Pass through the slit in the window to get to a ledge which looms over the production room.
  • From the first platform, head left and board the Exo lift upwards.
  • As you exit the lift, another Proteus will pop from the vent, guard immediately then proceed to take it out.
  • Continue along the path, ensuring that you have your light on, proceed to the right path.
  • Employ stealth to take out the patrolling Maintenance Robot, then enter the room at the end to find Endurance Enhancer v.5.
  • Head back to the vents entrance then go straight.
  • Sneak by the left edge and attack the Maintenance Robot before it sees you.
  • Inspect the edge for the Behind the Curtain audiolog.
  • Pass by the door at the other side to reach the platform that looms over the Exhibition Hall.

Exhibition Hall I

  • Inspect the railing on the right to find an SNS Disinhibitor v.3 resting on a pipe below it.

Leap over the railing to get there. To return, go all the way up the balcony.

  • Continue along the balcony and take out the Proteus guarding the area.
  • Keep going to find a door, unlock it and break the crate to reveal a First Aid Station fixed on the wall.
  • Go through the door, Jo will call out to you, head to the vent fixed on the left side of the wall to talk to her.

If you retrieved her weapon in the hideout beforehand, you can surrender it. She will ask for 15,000 Tech scrap.

  • Examine the floor near the vent for a Pile of High-Tech Scrap.
  • Go through the vent at the other side then take out the Maintenance Robot.
  • Reach the far end, then ride the Exo lift down.

Unmapped Area

  • Take out the Maintenance Robot then head out of the tunnel.
  • Head down and take out the LYNX and Proteus one at a time.

Do not try to head back as you might get the attention of the enemies behind.

  • With the enemies cut down, operate the Contact Station to obtain the Dr. Lawrence Murphy Log #1 audiolog.
  • Pass through the dim hall.
  • Lure a lone LYNX to the entrance, then take him out silently before you proceed.
  • Sneak and take out the next LYNX.
  • Going deeper into the tunnel, be wary of the Proteus that lurks by the object on the left, parallel to the stairs.
  • Head to the wall on the other side of the starting location to locate a Large Pile of Rusty Metal Scrap.
  • Head up the tunnel and take out the grating, then through the vent to find an Exo lift.
  • Take the lift to the next floor, then through the door passing through the damaged wall.

 

Restricted Projects

  • Turn right to find a pair of enemies, each is accompanied by a Shield Drone, lure them one by one.
  • Open the first door by the left wall of the hall to reveal a shortcut back to the Exhibition Hall.
  • Break the crates to find Pile of Metal Scrap, then reach for the door at the end of the hall.
  • You will be Gene Barret, listen to his monolog from the window.
  • Head upstairs by the left and take out the Proteus that awaits from the top.
  • Inspect the left room to find another Proteus, take him out then examine the Communication Station for Log [FW: Michael Shaw] audiolog.
  • Break the glass container in the middle of the location for a Large Pile of Rusty Metal Scrap.

There are many rooms to enter from here, the back door past the glass directs you to a corridor lined with gas, while the left door contains an Exo lift that takes you to a room with [RE: Michael Shaw] audiolog but is guarded by a Proteus.

  • Go through the vent on the other side of the room, then board the Exo lift.
  • Pry the hatch fixed on the wall then take out the pair of Proteus.
  • Search the desk for Comic Book, and Iron maus #44.
  • Leave the door to reach the balcony, then take the Vital Injection v.3.
  • Go back to the entrance platform to locate the control room labeled “02.”
  • Before you exit, allow one Proteus to go in, then operate the panel to enclose the lone Proteus.
  • Begin to lure one from the remaining group, up the steps to the site with the panel.
  • With every enemy out of the way, release the lock and take out the remaining Proteus.
  • Remember lab 01 door and the other one that lies on the other side of the stairs.
  • Head back to the location you took on a Proteus, then go upstairs to the left of the Lab 02’s panel.
  • Nearby is another panel labeled “01,” operate it to unlock the Lab 01 door on the floor below.
  • Overcharge the level 10 Power circuit to release the lock of the door behind central lower floor.
  • Inside this room is a Plasmic Regenerator v.3.
  • Break the glass then take out the Proteus, then head back to the Main Central floor.
  • Once you reach the back of the lower floor, you will be pit against a Proteus juggernaut.

Watch for his 2-3 melee chains, then it will follow with a sprint and slide. It also regenerates its health to full after you defeat it for the first time. The trick is to keep distance from it and land an attack or two and back away immediately after, try not to be greedy in the process. The timing of attacking it is just after it finishes its combo. As this enemy has no weaknesses, try to inflict an attack on the unarmed side, and if you can manage to do backstabs, it is also recommended.

  • With the Juggernaut finally taken out, go to the hallway and take the Exo lift.
  • You will encounter Gene Barret who will operate the panel and continue his monologue, talk to him.
  • Inspect his office for [RE: New Subjects] audiolog, and the Pile of Rare Material Scrap.
  • Return to the Exhibition Hall to finalize this assignment.

Exhibition Hall II

  • At the area, you will encounter quite a sight.
  • Search the floor for a MG Legionnaire near the wall under the passage that leads to the Restricted Projects.
  • You will find that the door on the lower level facing the Medbay has now been unlocked.
  • Take out the group of enemies then go through the hallway past the unlocked door.
  • Examine the activated panel near the second door to reach Central Production B.
  • When you pass through the door, you will head back to the Conveyor Hub, make your way back to Central Production B.
