Obtaining Additional Scraps Early in the Game
Even without a power core to overwrite your previous one, collecting additional scraps along the way is beneficial in enhancing your Power Core and Equipment roster.
By the time you obtain a Replacement Cell, return to the Medbay, then into the metal pipe on the right. Take the worker out to collect more scrap, then search past him to find Small Pile of Rare Metal Scrap.
You would want to examine the back of the contraption that is situated across the pipe you previously went through for more scrap. Take the Exo lift upwards, heading beyond a couple of drones, then inspect the site at the back of the Medbay.
