How to Do Ball Rolls
The ball roll is a simple and versatile technique to create better angles for shooting or passing, as well evading tackling defenders as you approach the box. Note the ball roll requires a player to have a two-star skill move rating to perform.
Summary
To perform a ball roll, simply move the right analog stick to either the left or right of where your player is facing. If done correctly, your player will perform a sidestep while in possession with the ball and opening up an opportunity to pass or shoot the ball with either the left or right foot (depending on which side you ball rolled it).
Tips for Ball Rolls
- As mentioned, the ball roll is an effective and incredibly versatile move that allows you to create subtle openings on any situation on the pitch. Practice doing it as much as possible to make it a part of your default arsenal of skills, especially when attacking.
- Ball rolling creates a sense of unpredictability when in possession of the ball and is a good way to throw off opponents expecting a certain angle of where you are going to pass or shoot.
