How to Do Drag Backs
A drag back is a technique that allows your player to quickly change direction while in possession of the ball. It is a useful skill for creating some space between you and a defending player to set up clearer shots or to pass the ball.
Summary
The drag back is done by holding the L1 and R1 buttons and tapping tilting the left analog stick in the opposite direction that your player is moving (L1 + R1 + left analog stick ← or → ). If done correctly, your player will quickly shift directions to get away from defenders.
Tips for Drag Backs
- Spamming drag backs will cause you to lose possession of the ball. Be sure not to overuse it and employ other maneuvers to avoid this.
- If you do not hold down both the L1 and R1 buttons at the same time, your player will not perform the drag back which also risks your opponent from stealing it. Practice allows you to get used to doing it during any situation.
