Act 3 Walkthrough – Siege of Desaix Fort [Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia]

This article contains a guide for Desaix Fort. This land is in Act 3 of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.

Desaix Fort

Desaix Fort is an area after the Forest Village. Once you get there however, you’ll have a couple of enemies to deal with. However, this particular battle has an additional objective: rescue Mathilda. So, if you’re going to do that, you’ll have to plan your roster carefully.

Map Strategy

Strategy 1:

Place your tankiest member up front with a shield. Either, Forsyth or Lukas will do the job. After that, have Alm or Kliff nearby. Alm should be using the Lightning Sword which allows him to do far ranged attacks. Kliff will have his magic. You can also line the sides with Snipers or Archers to take out those nearby. Then, blast Desaix with all your party members. Once he’s down, you can either do two things: exploit the Retreat glitch or have Clair make her way in to help Matilda slaughter the incoming Level 1 Revenants.

Strategy 2:

This particular one requires Faye with the Dracoshield. Place her on the bridge at the entrance of the Desaix Fort. Any damage she takes will be replenished with Nosferatu. You can also do the same with Silque if Faye died earlier. In this case, have Faye bottleneck up the fort before using Rescue to pull Matilda out of the cage. There, you can put her near Silque to recover and let the rest of your party take down the remaining enemies.
