Arthur is one of the retainers of Elise, a princess of Nohr. Despite being a commoner, his parents taught him the ideals to uphold for justice. With that, Arthur strives to help anyone who has an issue no matter how trivial. As a hero in Fire Emblem Heroes, he appears as a Green Axe.

Stats

Arthur’s stats allow him to go a variety of builds. He has a decent attack and defense, allowing him to tank majority of incoming physical attacks. He also has Emerald Axe which has a built in Triangle Adept which allows him to increase his incoming damage. His stats however make him more useful situational rather than a general note.

Strategy

Arthur’s stats allow him to swing with different builds. Some builds involve using his attack and def, allowing him to hunt down Lance-users. Some of the Lance users such as Mathilda and Clive may have a hard time against him, especially since he has Lancebreaker. If Arthur is equipped with the Emerald Axe, he can easily nullify their speed boons and deal double damage to them.

However, Arthur can also utilize Brave Axe which makes his attack a more offensive threat. It allows him to tank more in terms of unleashing more damage in a single encounter. However, doing so reduces his already mediocre speed which makes him vulnerable against other green axes. But, players can also opt to use Axebreaker to give Arthur a chance to fight his other fellow axe-wielders since he already has an advantage against Lance users.

As a hard-hitting hero, Arthur can work with characters that grant extra speed. In doing so not only gives him a chance to attack twice in a row but, he can attack four times if running Brave Build.

Counter

• Lilina – Lilina, as a red tome user, can make Arthur’s Res look sad. She’ll probably blast him in one hit.
• Katarina – Similar to Lilina, Katarina‘s weapon allows her to draw power from her allies. This will allow her to attack from a range, keeping her safe from Arthur’s attacks.
• Kagero – Kagero has a weapon that allows her to deal extra damage to infantry units.
• Celica – Celica has Ragnarok which can deal extra damage since it gives her an additional +5 for both ATK/Spd. This will be increasingly dead especially if she has a pocket healer like Genny or Azama in tow.
