Lyn is the daughter of a leader of a tribe and a noblewoman. However, both parents died in the hands of bandits before the beginning of the game. She takes on the name “Lyn”, in honor of her maternal grandmother. However, her true name is Lyndis and fights alongside Eliwood and Hector. She appears in Fire Emblem Heroes as a Red/Sword Infantry unit.

Stats

Lyn is a natural 5☆ with high speed and attack which allows her to sweep through her enemies. She can quickly thrash them down and at the same time soak up damage. Her main asset is base speed which allows her 90% of the time to have the upper hand and attack twice. However, her drop rate especially from the Gacha can be quite low due to her being a natural 5☆.

Strategy

Lyn, as a Red/Sword Infantry, boasts her high attack and speed. However, she sometimes can be overlooked in favour for Lucina, Marth, and Ryoma. If granted Brash Assault, Lyn can always deal double damage regardless of the enemy’s speed. She also has decent defense, allowing her to soak up some damage from incoming Blue/Lance units. Deathblow is another ability that Lyn can inherit in order to exploit her already high ATK.

To make use of her high ATK, players can also grant her Threaten Def or Threaten ATK in order to gain the advantage. Other skills such as Spur Atk and Hone Spd can also work well with her. However, she has to be in the front line majority of the time. This leaves her susceptible to Blue Tome users such as Delthea and Linde.

Counter

• Delthea – Delthea has a monstrous attack that makes any character’s Res look puny.
• Linde – Linde is similar to that of Delthea.
• Robin (M) – As a tanky tome, he can absorb some of Lyn’s damage before throwing it back at her.
• Olwen – As a cavalry tome, she can chase down Lyn and deal heavy damage against Lyn.
