Soren is the son of King Ashnard and Queen Almedha, daughter of King Dheginsea of Goldoa. When his father discovered that Soren had no special powers, he abruptly abandoned him. He then transferred place to place until he met Ike who took him in as one of the mercenaries. In Fire Emblem Heroes, Soren serves as a Green/Tome Infantry Unit.
Stats
Soren is terrifying in his own right. He’s one of the few Green Tomes that have high Speed which compensates for his above average attack. His Res and Defense are relatively normal for a Tome which forces him to fight behind a defensive ally. Nevertheless, his speed makes his attack quite horrifying to face especially if he’s built around the right attacks.

Strategy
Soren, similar to Nino, is a powerful Green Tome with decent attack stats. However, Nino still poses a considerable advantage over him considering that Soren requires a lot to use his full potential. Soren reaches his full ppotential when he inherits Gronnblade. However, Gronnowl is also a good idea but the player must sacrifice Boey to gain the skill.
As for any assist skills, Soren’s quite flexible depending on what build the player is going for. However, my personal opinion involves giving him Swap. This gives him some “escapes”, allowing him to run from Physical Hitters should he need to. However, he can also utilize this if another hero such as Subaki has Swap to throw him behind.
Passive Skills involve Defiant Atk to improve his power should Nino not be up to par. Another is Fury or Darting Blow to give him a chance to attack twice in a row. However, granting Soren Fury would mean him having a pocket-healer in tow. Unfortunately, this would mean he would be in the front lines. The best way to work with this is having someone inherit Reposition. Heroes such as Selena have Reposition in tow.
Counter
- Celica – Celica has Ragnarok which gives her increased attack when fighting enemies at full HP. If she is constantly accompanied with a healer like Genny or Azama, she’ll definitely wipe him out.
- Katarina – Katarina has Rauørwolf which takes advantage of having multiple allies around her. Especially if the player uses a wall strategy, Katarina can deal heavy damage even against hard hitters like Sonya.
- Lucina – Lucina is a Red/Sword that can withstand heavy damage. With Falchion, she can replenish 10 HP every three turns.
- Cain – Cain is a Red/Sword Cavalry that can chase down Soren before wiping the field with him.
