  1. I have seen a lot of confusion over whether he just unlocks during your third route or if it also requires unlocking every other character. Does anyone know for certain? I was thinking of doing the normal ending for each factions and then replaying them each for their golden route, which I know means Byleth, Jeralt, and Arval can only be unlocked by doing that.

  2. By the way it’s not based on the the hard or lunatic difficulty. Just found out on YouTube user Faz Faz. Unlocked the gatekeeper after his third run of the game. And he was playing on easy. So to be clear it’s based on each run like golden deer, blue lions and black Eagles.
