Bastion Boss Strategy
When the fight begins, aim for Bastion’s legs while avoiding its stomp attack that will send pillars of lightning bolts around the arena. Watch the ground to know where to position yourself to avoid taking damage.
Always observe the large orb on Bastion’s chest to know which attack it will do. It will shoot out steam from its sides when the orb glows blue and generate a massive swathe of flame from its chest to damage targets in a wide area in front of it when it is red.
When Bastion summons bots that float around, attack them to gather Higmakers. Continue doing so until the Higmakers are able to muster power and shoot the cannon at the boss to stack significant amounts of damage on Bastion.
After a short cutscene, Bastion will envelop himself with electricity, causing you to take damage if you attack him up close. After a short period, another cutscene will play.
Bastion will become enraged so keep avoiding his attacks and Lofty will appear. You will now need to move up the platforms towards Bastion’s head to finish him off. This can be a little challenging since you will need to avoid the lightning bolts and beams shot by the flying bots along the platform (which will disappear after a short period) to reach the weak point on Bastion’s head. When you reach the last platform, a cutscene will play and the fight will end.
