How to Earn Kingsguilders (KG)
In Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, Kingsguilders (KG) are a type of resource used to fund the construction of facilities and to undertake various types of research in the Kingdom Management mini game. KG is invaluable for upgrading your kingdom which is one of the main objectives you must satisfy during the middle to late stages of the main story.
Below are the ways to efficiently earn KG, including recommended methods to increase KG gained and other sources of funds in the game.
Increase influence.
The amount of KG you earn over time is determined by your current influence (in the simplest terms, the higher your influence, the more KG amass). Raising influence should be your priority upon gaining access to Kingdom Management in Chapter 4.
To increase influence, you need to build facilities such as shops, weapon stores, and research buildings. The level of influence gained differs from each constructed facility so try to prioritize buildings that will grant you a higher increases, especially early on in the game.
Expand your coffer limit.
Eventually, you will want to increase your coffers’ storage limit which lets you accumulate a larger amount of funds over time before collecting and spending them on construction work and research. Note that your coffer will initially be able to stockpile a modest sum of KG, requiring you to collect funds frequently just to empty them. Keep in mind that allowing your coffers to reach its maximum capacity will waste any KG accumulated afterwards.
Level up facilities.
Raising the level of facilities also increases the influence you gain from them in addition to providing more research perks and benefits which will be useful toward the later stages of the game.
Other Ways to Earn KG
Clear side quests.
Certain side quests, especially those accessible later in the main story, will reward you with KG in addition to various useful equipment, recruitable citizens, experience points. While the kingdom funds obtained from side quests are not as plentiful as those from the coffers (which is dependent on your influence), it is still recommended to clear them as often as you can as an additional source of KG.
Win skirmishes.
Many side quests which require you to win skirmishes also reward KG so try to take on a many of these optional battles when you can.
