It is possible to play Nintendo Switch Sports on the Nintendo Switch Lite handheld system by connecting Joy-Cons (sold separately) to your device. This, however, is not recommended as you must stand a good distance away from your device to perform many of the Joy-Con motions required in the different sporting events. At even just one meter away from your Switch Lite system, it becomes quite difficult to see what is happening on the handheld’s small screen.

Your Sportsmate character is only able to perform different actions via the Joy-Con’s motion controls. This means that you will not be able to play the game using the Switch Lite’s built-in controls or other wireless controllers connected to the device.
Most Suited for the Nintendo Switch Connected to a Wide-Screen TV
A docked Nintendo Switch connected to a wide-screen TV offers the best gaming experience for playing Nintendo Switch Sports. This ensures that you and your friends can play comfortably and with enough space from each other to avoid injuries or accidents.
