This page contains all obtainable weapons in Resident Evil 7, including descriptions, performance and where to obtain them. Please note that we will be updating this page as we go along

Surviving against Resident Evil 7’s nefarious antagonists means picking up whatever weapons you can find to defend yourself. The player will find an arsenal of weapons to defend himself against the dark forces in the Dulvey plantation. Below is a list of all obtainable weapons in the game, including in-game descriptions, performance and where to obtain them.

Melee Weapons

Image Weapon In-Game Description Performance Where to Obtain
– Hand Axe – Swings at a moderate speed. Good for blocking enemy attacks, then immediately countering them with a power attack when they are staggered. 1F of the Guest House where you encounter Mia.
– Folding Knife – One of the weakest weapons in the game. Its only conceivable use arguably is to reduce damage by blocking with it. 1F of the Main House along the hall near the kitchen. It is given by the Sheriff’s Deputy by window.
– Crowbar – Becomes unusable after it has finished its purpose. Temporarily usable during the first portions of the Wrecked Ship segment
– Survival Knife – Only a little better than the folding knife, but still not an ideal weapon even for melee. Has slightly longer reach than the Folding Knife. 2F outside the elevator at the Tanker Ship
– Chainsaw –  A powerful chainsaw. Used temporarily in the second fight with Jack.
– Circular Saw – A powerful melee weapon, though it suffers from very slow attack speed. Beat the game in 4 hours or less

Firearms

– M19 Handgun – A very reliable handgun, more so than the MPM and the G17. Its downside is only having 7 rounds per magazine, so each bullet should be made to count. Obtained for the first time at the 2F of Guest House along the hall going to the attic. Obtained a second time in the trailer located in the yard of the Main House. It is marked as a “Broken Pistol” so use the Repair Kit to use it.
– G17 Handgun – Similar use as the M19 but with 10 rounds per magazine. 1F of the Main House at the garage.
– MPM Handgun – Similar use as the M19 but with 10 rounds per magazine. 1F of the Save Room at the Tanker Ship
– Albert-01R – One of the most powerful weapons in the game. It is loaded with 9 rounds and has no spare clips (Easy). Dropped from the chopper during the last Boss fight; Unlockable in the Main Game after you Beat the Game for the First Time
– M37 Shotgun – Comes with a 4-round internal load. Best saved for really difficult encounters as ammo is somewhat scarce. For best results, fire at close range to the head of enemies.  1F of the Main House at the Main Hall. You must have the Broken Shotgun obtained in Grandma’s Room on the 2F of the Main House to replace the Shotgun by the statue.
– M21 Shotgun – Though it can only hold two shells (one in each barrel) at a time. 2F of the Main House at Grandma’s Room behind the scorpion door. Marked as Broken Shotgun when first obtain. Use a Repair Kit on it to restore it.
– P19 Machine Gun – Though quite tempting to use in auto-fire, it is very easy to waste bullets with this. Make good use of its 64-round magazine with aimed shots to the head. 4F of the Tanker Ship at the Captain’s Cabin. In is found in a locker that can be unlocked with a key.
– M44 Magnum – A very powerful revolver capable of downing most enemies easily. Suffers from slow fire rate. Buy for 9 antique coins at the trailer in the yard.
– Grenade Launcher – Uses explosive cartridges for ammo. Arguably the most devastating weapon in the game. 1F of the Main House. It is found in the supply room next tot he the drawing room. Requires a crow key to unlock.
Burner – Sets enemies on fire, though only at close range. Comes with a capacity of 150 flame units. Found in the Old House as two separate pieces that must be assembled.

Bombs
