Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Release Date!
Naughty Dog, the creators of the 90’s childhood Crash Bandicoot, brings out Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. And for its release date, Naughty Dog has declared Uncharted: The Lost Legacy to be released on August 22, 2017. For those who are in Europe, they receive the game a day later – August 23, 2017.
In Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, the game features two treasure hunters that have appeared in the first few games. One is Chloe Frazer, the Indian-Australian treasure hunter. And another is a former antagonist, Nadine Ross. The two girls never had a good history with one another. However, the creative director Shaun Escayg wanted to bring out a different twist to it especially for the development of Chloe’s character.
What to expect in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
For Shaun Escayg, what wins in Naughty Dog is “the best story”. The story of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy entails a far more personal journey, he says. This is in contrast to Chloe’s normally self-preserving personality. According to Uncharted’s Creative Directory, he describes Chloe as someone who is pragmatic, often weighing the gains and losses. She always appeared as the “getaway driver”, the one who will always bail on first sign of danger. However, he wanted to add a more particular twist: what if the treasure she searched for had some sort of sentimental value?
In this case, the Tusk of Ganesha appears in India as a mystical artefact that supposedly belonged to the god of obstacles, Ganesha himself. Despite her quick-to-flee nature, Chloe still ventures after it. According to Escayg, while the tusk itself symbolized the Hoysala civilization – to Chloe, it had more importance. Her father wanted to venture out and locate the Tusk. Unfortunately for him, he failed. With that, Chloe intends to take the mantle to find the tusk. But the question is, will she persevere or not?
In the game, Chloe and Nadine also gain more skills. Chloe gains silent attacks, guns with suppressors and other means of stealth. Both girls are capable of solving puzzles. Some of the puzzles even require some firepower to make them work.
Considering that Naughty Dog develops games under Sony’s Flag, players should expect the game to be PS4 exclusive. When players pre-order the game, Naughty Dog also offers the Jak and Daxter: The Legacy Precursor game to whoever pre-orders Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Also, Naughty Dog features the LL (Lost Legacy) Add-On which allows the player to access multiplayer mode and survival mode.
