Act 3 Walkthrough – Valley Approach

The map resembles Ram Valley from the first Act, with Blake replacing the tile that the Mercenary scaled down from in the previous Act’s Map.
Blake wields the Shadow Sword which has tremendous amounts of Attack due to its Might. He crosses down the mountain trail which takes a few turns before he gets to the base where your units spawn by default.
Take out the enemies on the right before Blake comes down completely. The enemy consists of Witch and Mercenary units, the former has weaker RES compared to the latter who lacks in DEF. Storm at them with a Sage and Sniper respectively to punish them severely.
By the time Blake reaches the base, you should assemble the team with Valbar on the front line, and the Ranged attacks from Leon, Boey, etc. dealing from a distance. Make sure to have at least 9 SPD to prevent Blake from retaliating on your melee unit. Other than that, exploit his weak RES with Boey’s Black Magic and he will soon go down. Equip Genny with Blessed Ring and have her focus on healing Valbar with Physic.
On hard mode, there is a drastic change in Blake’s stats. Switch Valbar with another unit that possesses higher SPD because of this gap. Line up your durable units, ensure that they have at least 15 SPD to prevent Blake’s counterattack, then send a shower of Ranged attacks to pierce his RES.
Apart from these Stat adjustments, proceed as you would have when you dealt with him during Normal Mode.
