Check it out: Resident Evil 7 Save Room Theme! [Resident Evil 7/ RE7]

A Safe Space

Most of the Resident Evil franchise’s entries provide you with an archaic mode of saving. While most games nowadays often automatically save your work, older games require you to manually save at a save station. Resident Evil codified this trope in 1996. The save rooms of the earlier games always contained a typewriter for you to use. However, this came to an end by Resident Evil 5. The upcoming Resident Evil 7, which fans hope to return to its horror roots, will provide players save rooms.

Safety in Sound

Safe rooms in the Resident Evil games offered more than just saving areas. They were safe spaces. Most save rooms were places the player could just stop, take a breather, and find helpful items so they could survive the horror. Every time you entered a safe room, you would experience a sense of safety. One of the most crucial elements of why a safe room “feels” safe, apart from the lack of enemies and a cache of bullets, is the amazing music that accompanies the room.

Resident Evil 7 continues this age-old tradition. Released a few months early, the Resident Evil 7 save room theme plays when Ethan enters a save room to rest and heal before venturing once again deeper into Dulvey’s haunted mansion.

This save theme, as well as all of Resident Evil 7, will be available to PC, Xbox One and PS4 users on January 24, 2016.
