Jack Baker Boss Guide [Resident Evil 7/RE7]

Jack Baker fights you five times throughout the main story of Resident Evil 7. He uses different types of melee weapons during the encounters. Jack primarily uses these weapons while chasing you, so the best strategy during the first three encounters is to find a way for him to stop chasing you like running fast or trapping him through several rooms in the area.

Jack Baker Boss Guide

First Encounter (Main House – Dining Room)

After the cutscene, you will be able to free yourself from your restraints. After being free, you would need to escape the first floor of the main house. Follow the guide below on how to avoid Jack Baker during the first encounter.

Second Encounter (Main House – Garage)

When you get to the garage, there’s a trigger for a cutscene. After this, head over to a bloody smear on the floor, and pick up the Glock Pistol. Bullets barely slow Jack down, so use it merely to subdue him long enough for you to maneuver around him. When you go through the gate you came in, there is a work table with the Car Keys sitting in the garage. Take the keys, use the car to ram Jack again and again and again. After several hits, he rips open the roof of the car and rams the car into the wall repeatedly. He attempts to kill you by ramming the car into a couple of steel bars propped on one side of the garage.

Jack will be incapacitated. Leave the car, and then he will get up and walks towards you, triggering a short cutscene. Shoot Jack Baker repeatedly until he goes down. After defeating him, climb the ladder at the back of the garage and a cutscene will commence.

Third Encounter (Main House- Bathroom)

Jack Baker will chase you after you get the contraption to solve the Shadow Puzzle in the projector room at the first floor. Walk around the bathtub in order for Jack Baker to go to the back of the bathroom, which will open your path towards the door.

Run quickly and head to the projector room. Solve the puzzle and go through the opened narrow gap.

Fourth Encounter (Processing Area – Dissection Room)

Once you get the third dog head tied to the hook in the last room of the area, Jack Baker will push you down to the bottom of the room. Shoot him with your pistol or shotgun, but make sure that you have enough ammo as a knife won’t be able to damage him much if ever you run out of bullets.

In the second stage of the boss fight, Jack baker will pull out two chainsaws tied together to form a big scissor-like weapon. You will also be able to get a chainsaw somewhere in the area. Hit him repeatedly with the chainsaw as it can deal massive damage, but be cautious of his attacks.

Final Encounter (Boat House)

The final battle with Jack Baker is relatively easy. Keep your distance and shoot the eyes around his body with your Shotgun or Grenade Launcher. During the first part of the boss battle, you will be at the top of the room, but when he drops down to the bottom floor, follow him and keep blasting his remaining eyes.

Remember to stay mobile and keep circling him to avoid his attacks. After a while, he will return to the upper level, so you have to aim for his eyes by looking up. He will keep moving from the upper and lower levels during the last stages of the fight. Repeat the process until he is defeated.
