Not a Hero DLC “Lucas” Trailer Released
Resident Evil 7 was released last January and enjoyed near-universal critical acclaim. After its January release, game developers at Capcom also launched DLCs Banned Footage Vol.1 and Banned Footage Vol.2.
The survival horror game revolves around a Louisiana plantation owned by the Bakers. As Ethan Winters, you will enter the Baker plantation to look for your dead wife, Mia.
By the time you reach the end of the game, however, you’ll have uncovered a deep conspiracy revolving a bioweapon, a strange company, and Evelyn. In an incredibly anti-climactic final boss fight, you are saved by “Redfield” and the “umbrella corporation.”
The Not a Hero DLC picks up where the story left off. The latest trailer implies that Chris Redfield will pursue a “fleeing suspect”–presumably Lucas Baker.

The trailer is a compilation of multiple scenes in the upcoming Not a Hero DLC.
- At 0:04-0:07, Chris Redfield says “Lucas, you’ll pay for this,” implying that Redfield found out about Lucas’s schemes.
- Also at 0:07, you can find a hospital-like hallway and stairwell. Could this be Dulvey Hospital? Is it possible that Dulvey will be infected by the mutamycete as well?
- Lucas says “You’re going to fail, then you are going to die.” (0:09)
- Skipping to 0:017, we see Chris Redfield in a CGI cutscene. It appears that this DLC will be a lot more cinematic than the base game.
- The trailer shows us revisiting the salt mines. It seems that the molded were not killed off by Eveline’s death. (0:21)
- Three members of the first unit lost contact with Umbrella headquarters. (0:24).
- Chris’s night vision helmet allows him to see Lucas’ laser traps. (0:34)
- You can see a small cluster of spider-like molded at 0:35.
- Lucas’ saw-like traps reappear in 0:41. The umbrella agent, unfortunately, didn’t make it.
- A tall, webby, and sharp-clawed molded appears at 0:49, 0:51, and 1:00. It’s unclear if they’re the same molded or a different kind. These creatures appear to be a lot more corpse-like than the tar creatures from the base game.
- At 0:53 you can see a bloater without hands or a head charging at the player character and then exploding.
- A possible boss fight can be seen at 1:12 involving a huge, misshapen creature reminiscent of the brutes in Dead Space.
