5 Things To Consider Before Buying Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy formerly appeared as a DLC for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. However, that all changed when Naughty Dog decided that the world had gotten too big for a DLC. Instead of calling it Uncharted 5, Naughty Dog entitled it as The Lost Legacy. It focuses now on a series character, Chloe Frazer. Nathan Drake no longer takes the spotlight. Instead, Naughty Dog introduces Nadine Ross as a new protagonist in the Uncharted: The Lost Legacy cast. However, there are a couple of things to consider before buying the game. After all, Naughty Dog has a good reputation. But players ought to check this out before actually buying the game.

10+ Hours of Gameplay

Before it became a stand-alone installment, the game used to be a DLC. However, the game grew bigger and bigger. Along with the world and story, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy soon became too big for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End to dismiss as a DLC. With the additional 10+ hours of gameplay, there’s loads of action. There’s more puzzles to solve, and much of the narrative to delve into.

Also, did we forget to mention that playing this game gives players access to the multiplayer mode of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End? This game’s bound to keep players occupied as Naughty Dog continues developing other games.

Not the everyday action RPG

Instead of just busting through enemies or shooting them down, some parts of the game actually require some tactical thinking. Naughty Dog added this new element to force players to think and actually design intricate ways to solve problems. Barging in with guns firing and ammo rolling will not always work anymore. Plus, Chloe Frazer‘s personality is contrast to the action-hero stereotype that is Nathan Drake.

New Feature: Lockpicking

As a thief, Chloe Frazer may not be able to handle multiple attackers all at once. However, she is capable now of opening passageways or chests that previously players had no access to. Plus, because Chloe Frazer is more stealth and sneak-centric, she needs this trick to get by. As of now, the trailers and leaks of the gameplay have only revealed lockpicking to be a reaction-based mechanic. But nobody knows as of now what Naughty Dog has planned for the lockpicking mechanics.

New Feature: Silenced Weapons

Again, Chloe Frazer is someone who’s more focused on sneaking rather than actually shooting things. Hence, the silenced weapon gives Chloe Frazer a chance to perform head shots. As players can now go for headshots, this means that the player cannot simply dive into combat like they used to.

More World-Based

Taking cues from its predecessors, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy intends to allow players to interact more with the world. This includes driving and more puzzles in which players get to move away from the action-filled game and instead take in the sights. It also expands the story beyond Nathan Drake which shows the story for both Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross.
