What are Trooper Cards?

Trooper Cards is a returning gameplay feature to the new remaster of Like A Dragon: Ishin! (LAD Ishin/Yakuza: Ishin). This feature enables Sakamoto Ryoma to assemble a team of cards that will boost your stats and grant you new abilities in battle.

How to unlock Trooper Cards?

You need to get to Chapter 5 of the main story in order to use the Trooper Cards function. You may access the Trooper Cards if you unlock the “Battle Dungeons” feature when your visit the Shinsengumi Barracks.

What does each part of a Trooper Card mean?

The parts of a Trooper Card are detailed below:

Card Type Description
Level Refers to the current level of your Trooper Card and its maximum level limit. Also, the number of experience points required in order to level up.
Rarity Refers to the Trooper Card’s rarity and its max level. Rarity can be Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, or Legendary.
Card Type Refers to the specialized type of the Trooper Card. Offensive, Defense, Medical, Support, Assist, and Instructor are the different types.
Health Refers to the overall HP of the Trooper Card. The game will add 3% of the health from all of your equipped squads’ cards to Sakamoto Ryoma’s overall maximum HP. This will increase over time as you level up.
Charge Speed Refers to the Trooper Card’s Ability cooldowns. The greater the number, the faster the ability may be used. This will increase further over time as you level up.
Trooper Ability Refers to the ability of each Trooper Card. Each Trooper Card has its own Trooper Ability, but each gives a different power to apply in combat.
Corporal Traits Refers to additional traits activated when a Trooper Card is placed on the Corporal slot of the Squad Formation menu.
Card Description Refers to a brief description of the Trooper Card as well as a tip as to where it is best used during battle.

What types of Trooper Cards are there?

The kind of Trooper Cards are explained below:

Card Type Description
Offense (Red Symbol) Increases attack power or damage.
Defense (Blue Symbol) Increases defense power.
Medical (Green Symbol) Increases HP and Recovery abilities.
Assist (Purple Symbol) Amplifies buff effects of your other Trooper Card abilities (like a multiplier)
Support (Orange Symbol) Decrease the Cooldowns of your Trooper Card abilities.
Instructor Grants bonus experiences when fused with another Trooper Card. The symbol displays in the place where the name would typically appear.
