Giving the man more medicine.
Once you begin a bond with the collapsed man by giving him any healing item once, the substory will be cleared. To max out your bond with him, head to the forest road again and treat him using High-End Vitality Pills. Note that you will need a total of 9 pills to raise your friendship to maximum.
