Expeditions is a base camp free day activity similar to Three Houses‘ Tea Party time in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. You pick a ally character in your base camp to spend time with and carry on a conversation that is most appropriate for your partner. When an expedition event ends, you’ll earn character support and charm stat boosts.

How to Unlock Expeditions
In order to unlock the expedition feature, you must clear the Chapter 4 main quest battle stage of your chosen story route:
- The Battle for Garreg battle stage (for Scarlet Blaze – Edelgard route).
- Deliverance in the Valley of Torment battle stage (for Azure Gleam – Dimitri route).
- The Defense of the Great Bridge (for Golden Wildfire – Claude route).
After clearing, proceed to Chapter 5 of your picked faction and speak to Edelgard/Dimitri/Claude to start an expedition. Take note that you can only invite ally units with whom you have attained Support Level C or higher. In addition, you can only start an Expedition when you have activity points available in your base camp.
How to Prepare for Expeditions
In Three Hopes, you no longer need to purchase a certain tea leaf prior to an expedition event. Once you have the activity points, just invite your target character available. However, having gift items favored by your partner is still essential to maximize the benefits of the event.
Gifts are purchasable from the Item Shopkeeper. Some gifts such as Owl Feathers and other gift items are obtainable from survey spots through the war map.

The Flow of the Expeditions
During an expedition, you have multiple ways to spend time with your companion. You have three categories of interaction you will undergo which are “Encounters”, “Talk” or “Ask a Question”. Every time you choose the correct answer, the support boost will increase. If you pick the wrong response, your partner will keep the conversation flowing but you will not unlock the Perfect Conversation result and a Charm stat boost. Choose your topics carefully to keep your partner entertained.
Talk Conversation Time
The “Talk” dialogue is similar to Three Houses where you need to choose the right response after your ally partner makes a statement or question.
Ask a Question Conversation Time
The “Ask a Question” dialogue is similar as well but you have more topic choices for your partner.
Encounters Conversation Time
The “Encounters” dialogue is not available until you unlock more locations through Facility Upgrades. They only occur if you pick the location with a “!” mark. These marks appear random every time you invited your partner for an expedition.

Once you picked a location with a “!” mark, the Encounters dialogue will occur and it will start first before the previous two. Most dialogue choices are safe except for neutral responses.
Perfect Conversation
If you managed to entertain your partner by responding with correct answers, you will unlock other features such as adjusting the camera angle and giving a gift.
Changing the Camera Angle
One of the two options that you will unlock is the ability to move the camera around. You can change the view to look at your guest or you can make them laugh by pressing a button. It is a novelty option since you don’t gain any additional support boosts. However, you have a new dialogue to listen to from your partner.
Giving a Gift
Another bonus feature is the option to bestow a gift. Although you can already do this during the base camp exploration, you can send an additional gift to your chosen recipient even after giving them one during a recent meetup. You’ll be able to earn support boosts more efficiently this way.

New Expeditions
Whenever you conquered a region on the war map, an Expedition icon will randomly appear along with a unit’s name. Make it a point to invite the ally character for an Expedition immediately in order to gain additional support points. The Expedition icon will be removed if you deploy for another battle immediately so this is your most important task when it comes out.
